Worship at St. Mary's
Worship is at the heart of our life at St. Mary’s and is an experience both inspiring and joyful. Our worship services are an opportunity for us to give praise and thanksgiving for our lives and for God’s grace in our lives. As we worship and celebrate communion, we are part of a symbolic family meal that enriches us and supports us as it does others around the world.
St. Mary’s offers three different weekend worship experiences. All three services use a modern-language liturgy, include a sermon, and offer Holy Communion.
All ages are welcome at every service. Please join us for the service that speaks to you.
Saturday evenings at 5:00 p.m. Be at peace.
Join us for a classic Episcopal service without music and with ample silence. Held in St. Mary’s historic church (and seasonally sometimes outside -- weather permitting). It’s ideal for those who like a peaceful and spiritual start to their weekend or who may be unable to attend on Sunday morning.
At 4:00 p.m. on Saturdays, a contemplative prayer and scripture study, also including silence and reflection, precedes the service, for those who wish to attend.
Sunday mornings at 8:00 a.m. Rest confident in the Lord.
The calm and peace of early Sunday mornings surround this traditional service, which is brightened with hymn singing and organ accompaniment. Join us at 8:00 a.m. in the historic church and let our church community help you center your day.
Sunday mornings at 10:00 a.m. Lift every voice.
Our 10 o’clock service has a joyful, contemporary mood with updated music and piano accompaniment. Surround yourself with the beauty of God’s creation in the open space that is St. George’s Chapel in the Parish House.
During the sermon, children will be invited to hear The Good News for Kids, which is the gospel and Bible lesson together. They will leave the service with two adult leaders, returning in time to participate in the exchange of the peace, and receive communion.
Between the Sunday morning services, you are invited to join us for coffee hour and a light breakfast.
During the 10:00 service, please know that if your little one gets rambunctious , you can take him/her out into the gathering space. The service can be heard in that area.
